AutoEvolution portal experts have published a list of the five most reliable used crossovers and SUVs under 13 years old, available for less than $10,000.

Topping the list is the 2013 Toyota RAV4, which experts have recognized as one of the most reliable used SUVs. This fourth-generation model offers both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and its powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 176 hp. combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. For less than $10,000, you can get the base LE trim with power windows, cruise control, and a rearview camera.

In second place on the list is the 2012 Honda CR-V, which also boasts high build quality and reliability. This crossover is equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 185 hp. and is offered with a five-speed automatic transmission. The equipment includes keyless entry, a multimedia system with Bluetooth support, USB ports and a multifunction steering wheel.

For those looking for something bigger than the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V, experts recommend checking out the first-generation midsize 2010-2011 Ford Edge. This SUV is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. There is also a choice between a 3.5-liter Duratec V6 with 285 hp and a 2-liter EcoBoost with 240 hp.

The second-generation 2010-2011 Honda Pilot three-row SUV ranks fourth on the list. For $10,000, you can find a used Honda Pilot in EX or EX-L trim with power-adjustable front seats, heated seats, leather trim and a rearview camera. This SUV is available with all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive and is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 250 hp.

The 2010–2011 Chevrolet Tahoe rounds out the top five. This full-size SUV costs less than $10,000 in base LS trim and is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 320 hp. paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and rear- or all-wheel drive.
