The new game from the creators of Celeste turned out to be a two-dimensional pixel action Earthblade
Independent studio Extremely OK Games, led by one of the Celeste platforming game players Maddy Thorson, has presented Earthblade, its next project, on its website.
In addition to the title of the upcoming game, the developers have presented a teaser poster and a fragment of the soundtrack (both elements attached below) by the authorship of Celeste composer Lena Raine.
According to Thorson, the team didn’t want to show and tell too much: just let fans know about the existence of Earthblade and set the general mood and atmosphere of the created world.
Extremely OK Games did not provide the details of Earthblade or additional illustrative material – they are saving for a full presentation, which, according to Thorson, will not happen soon.
“When we do show [Earthblade], point your feet away from animals and small children and get ready for the shoes to fly off,” – feel free to catch up with the excitement at Extremely OK Games.
However, Earthblade still has a brief description. The developers call their next project “2D exploration action in a seamless pixel world. “
The platforms Earthblade is being created are not specified, but the game has an approximate release date – “five short years with Celeste. ” In other words, the project is scheduled for release no earlier than 2023.
