The next patch will be the largest in the history of Baldur’s Gate 3 – the save will again be incompatible

Larian Studios has announced the second broadcast of Panel From Hell in a new publication on Steam. The show plans to share various details, including the fourth major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3.

Panel From Hell 2 will begin on February 17 this year at 21:00 Moscow time. Key developers led by Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke will talk about Baldur’s Gate 3 as part of the stream.

The broadcast announced a “huge amount” of news about Baldur’s Gate 3, some of which will be devoted to the story of the previously mentioned fourth patch and its demonstration.

According to the developers, the upcoming patch will be the largest in the history of Baldur’s Gate 3; the save from previous builds will again be incompatible with the upcoming version.

However, if desired, users can turn off automatic updates or continue playing with the third patch by selecting the appropriate option from the list of beta versions in the properties of Baldur’s Gate 3 (Steam).

Recall that with the release of the previous major patch in Baldur’s Gate 3, the display of inspiration points appeared in the interface, support for cross-saves, and rewards for avoiding battles.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access on PC (Steam, GOG) and Google Stadia since October 2020. The game will stay in the pre-release state for at least 12 months, but the developers have not even stuttered about a full-fledged premiere.
