Support for DirectX 12 Ultimate, improved tracing and more

Microsoft is due to release a major update to Windows 10 by the end of May. The update will bring new features and improvements throughout the system.

For gamers, the new version of Windows will be a real breakthrough.

Windows 10 May 2020 Update, also known as 2004 and codenamed 20H1, includes support for DirectX 12 Ultimate, improved support for ray tracing DirectX Raytracing 1.1, DirectX Mesh Shader, and a number of other new features.

In addition to DirectX 12 Ultimate, Microsoft is also working on other areas to improve games, including WDDM 2.7 (Windows Display Driver Model) for improved multi-monitor performance.

According to numerous tests, the image refresh rate for multi-monitor installations has finally improved. Fixed a problem with video stutter if monitors in the installation have different refresh rates. Also fixed a problem with multiple windows when running a game like CS: GO. Windows Search will stop the indexing process when game mode is on.

For ordinary PC users, the distribution of the Windows 10 May 2020 Update will begin from May 26 to May 28. It was previously reported that Microsoft had to postpone the release of Windows 10 May 2020 due to a zero-day vulnerability discovered at the last moment.

The Windows 10 May 2020 Update brings new features and a redesigned interface to the Cortana voice assistant, improvements to Windows Search and the Linux subsystem, as well as a ton of small changes to the GUI, including new application icons.
