The Number Effect: Xbox One Version of The Sinking City Lost From User Libraries

At the end of August, it became known about a lawsuit between the studio Frogwares and the publishing house Nacon (formerly Bigben Interactive). Because of him, The Sinking City was taken off the market on Steam and other digital distribution services. The solution is clear since the dispute will determine who will retain the rights to the brand. Recently, however, Xbox One users have faced a bigger problem: The Sinking City has disappeared from buyers’ libraries.

A user under the pseudonym maxdps17 reported on the troubles in his microblog. He managed to download the game, so he can run it. However, it is no longer in the library, and many people have faced this situation. On Reddit reported by SirKhalid, and his topic certain users have confirmed the existence of the problem. And maxdps17 noted that in the Xbox group on the VKontakte social network, buyers also complain about The Sinking City disappearing from the list of purchased games.

At the moment it is not known what the loss of the project is connected with and who made the decision to withdraw it – Frogwares or Nacon. No official comments on this matter have been received yet.

The Sinking City was released on July 27, 2019, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. On Metacritic (PC), the game received 71 critical points after 47 reviews. Users gave a rating of 5.8 points out of 10, 198 people voted.
