The PC version of the online shooter PlanetSide 2 has the first story campaign
Rogue Planet Games has announced the release of an expansion called The Shattered Warpgate for the PC version of the sci-fi online multiplayer shooter PlanetSide 2. The same update will only be available on PlayStation 4 towards the end of October.
The Shattered Warpgate expansion brings PlanetSide 2 its first story campaign. Her story centers around the explosion of a gate in the northeast of Esamir. Nanite Systems leads the investigation into the mystery surrounding this event and enlists the support of soldiers from all empires to help bring stability back to the area.
Notably, the Esamir continent has undergone many changes since the players saw it. In this area, there are the destroyed northeastern gate, the remains of the ancient building of Vanu frozen in time, abandoned bases and equipment, as well as a vortex of energy directed into the sky. Esamir’s skies are now overcast, the auroras are brighter, and lightning flashes overhead.
The campaign consists of several chapters, and participation in it will open access to missions based on the mythology of the PlanetSide 2 universe, in which the heroes investigate the war with Auraxis and try to find those behind it. Completing missions will unlock multiple rewards. In addition, you will be able to purchase new equipment.
