AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov shared additional details about the plans of the Russian automobile giant during the Barcamp 2023 “National Technological Revolution 20.35”. According to the top manager, in the next two years we can see a crossover on the Lada Vesta platform.

The President of AvtoVAZ confirmed a crossover based on Lada Vesta in the next two years

Sokolov told reporters:

Next year we plan to launch new models. This is Lada Aura, a car (Lada) Iskra on a new global domestic platform… And in the two-year period (planned to launch) there will also be a crossover based on the Vesta platform. 

Sokolov also recalled that the mass production of the new generation Lada Vesta started in March 2023, and the Lada Largus was launched in August, and now Largus production is being transferred to the plant in Izhevsk. By the end of 2023, the first test batch of electric Largus (or e-Largus) will be released in Izhevsk, and mass production is planned for 2024.
