The publisher of physical versions of games Limited Run Games has become an official partner of Xbox

Limited Run Games is releasing projects on physical media that were previously released only in digital form. As it became known from the recent Xbox Expansion Pass podcast, it has become an official Xbox partner.

Usually, Limited Run Games bypasses the Xbox console, preferring the PlayStation and Nintendo. For example, on May 14, she will release several physical editions of the Castlevania Anniversary Collection on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

But in the Xbox Expansion Pass podcast, Limited Run Games co-founders Douglas Bogart and Josh Fairhurst revealed that the company had been an official Xbox partner since last year – it just took a lot of paperwork.

“We’ve been working with Bethesda all the time, and Microsoft just bought Bethesda, and, strangely, the DOOM releases we’ve released aren’t on Xbox — that doesn’t make any sense. We work with Double Fine quite often – we have released several of their games. Not releasing physical versions for the Xbox is weird because it is now just another internal company [of Microsoft’s gaming arm]. So I think that one of our primary goals will be to correct these points … – they said. ” Hopefully, things work out, and we can soon get the Xbox up and running at full capacity

Earlier this year, Limited Run Games celebrated the successful release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – The company managed to sell 25,000 copies of the game on Nintendo Switch in less than 3 hours.
