A distinctive feature of A Musical Story is the lack of text and dialogue. The developers will try to convey the plot with animation and music of their own composition.

A Musical Story takes place in the 70s of the last century. The game tells Gabriel’s story, a young man trying to come to terms with his position through his connection with music.

Users will have to bring Gabriel’s memories to life with timely keystrokes to the music’s beat. Each melody played correctly opens a new chapter in the hero’s story.

The developers of A Musical Story promise the ability to unlock a secret level (if you overcome all songs without blots), “excellently executed visual style,” and “unique original soundtrack” for 26 songs.

“We wanted to create something original that will be remembered by the players for the gameplay and storyline. It took a huge amount of time to find the right formula, but this option was the most inspiring, ”said the project’s composer Charles Bardin in a press release.

A Musical Story is expected to premiere this summer on PC (Steam), Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. A demo of the first ten chapters of the game will be available for preview on March 19 on Steam.
