However, by the standards of the industry, the delay was not too significant – a little less than a month and a half. From now on, the premiere of Returnal is scheduled for April 30 this year.

In its message to players regarding the transfer, Sony Interactive Entertainment added that it took such a step, in consultation with the developers from Housemarque. The company is confident that the delay will benefit the project.

“SIE and Housemarque have decided to change the release date to give the team more time to bring the quality of the game to the level that players expect from Housemarque,” the platform said in a statement.

Recall that in Returnal, users will get the role of the female astronaut Selena, who finds herself in a time loop on the exotic planet Atropos. In order not to go crazy, the heroine must break the vicious circle.

Returnal is being developed exclusively for PlayStation 5. Given the relatively short delay, the collection of pre-orders from the PlayStation Store has not stopped.
