Technical director of the Fresh automotive marketplace Maxim Ryazanov, in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, named cars with the most reliable engines.
“In fact, almost every modern engine has a service life of several decades – it all depends on the intensity of operation, timely maintenance, as well as the quality of components and consumables that change during the process of owning a car. In addition, the design of the engine plays a significant role – gasoline engines are in some cases more durable than diesel engines. The most reliable models are considered to be Toyota and BMW, Mitsubishi and Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen with six-cylinder engines that do not have unnecessary vibrations,” said Maxim Ryazanov.

For example, the top version of the Volkswagen Passat B7 is equipped with a naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine with a volume of 3.6 liters and a power of 300 hp. It is still one of the most popular cars on the Russian secondary market. Six-cylinder engines were also installed in the BMW third, fifth, sixth and seventh series.
It was previously reported that a decrease in the average price of new cars was recorded in Russia.
