The theme music of one of the chapters of Balan Wonderworld turned out to be suspiciously similar to the track from “Ghostbusters”
The streamer GigaBoots in his microblog drew attention to the suspicious similarity of two tracks – from the recent action-platformer Balan Wonderworld and the Ghostbusters franchise.
As noted by the portal’s journalists, obvious parallels between the two compositions can be traced at the very beginning (approximately the first 20 seconds). The similarities become noticeably less.
In addition to plagiarism, the situation can also be explained by the desire of the developers of Balan Wonderworld to pay tribute to the famous franchise: the headquarters of the ghostbusters is located in a former fire station.
It is worth noting that this is not the first near-scandalous incident in which Balan Wonderworld finds itself. Earlier, players noticed that the project received suspiciously many positive user reviews on Metacritic.
Balan Wonderworld is available on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. On the day of release, a patch was released for the game that fixes a scene that could cause epileptic seizures.
