Its capabilities can be expanded by connecting a USB hub
SEH Technology introduced a plug-and-play USB device server. It is called utnserver Pro and replaces the myUTN-50a model in the manufacturer’s catalog. This entry-level dual-USB server enables end-users to access USB devices on industrial, office, or home networks.
The utnserver Pro USB device server features a Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB 3.0 Gen 1 ports.
The server is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port to connect to the network and connect devices to the server itself; there are two USB 3.0 Gen 1 ports. SEH UTN Manager software allows you to create a virtual USB connection with the connected device, after which it can be used as a local one. The link is made via LAN, VPN, VLAN, Internet, and in server and virtualized environments. The manufacturer certifies that any device with a USB port is supported, including external drives, keys, card readers, barcode scanners, measuring instruments, and backup systems. Utnserver Pro can be expanded by connecting a USB hub.
Considering the high-security requirements for modern IT solutions, the developers have endowed utnserver Pro with support for TLS 1.3 encryption, IEEE 802.1X authentication, certificate management, SNMPv3, VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q), TCP access control, access to devices and ports, as well as the ability to block USB HID class devices.
SEH UTN Manager is available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux (Debian 10, Ubuntu 18.04, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Oracle 8, CentOS 8, SUSE Linux Enterprise 15.1, openSUSE Leap 15.1).
The manufacturer does not name the price of the novelty.
