The vampire novel Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York will be released on September 10
Draw Distance in its microblog announced the release date of Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York, which is an independent addition to the visual novel Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York will go on sale on September 10 this year for PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. No pre-orders are available yet.
The announcement in Draw Distance was accompanied by a 5-second video. It is difficult to call such a short video a trailer: only information about the release date and the platforms of Shadows of New York fit into the timing.
Despite the direct connection to the main game, familiarity with Coteries of New York is not required to understand the Shadows of New York plot. Veterans of the series, however, will be able to meet familiar characters.
Shadows of New York will tell “a more intimate and distinctive story” than Coteries of New York. The plot tells about the hermit of the Lasombra clan, whose leadership sent the heroine to investigate the death of the New York leader of the Anarchs.
Draw Distance promises to raise themes of “personal and political horror” and the ability to explore the streets of New York, as well as the need for a second playthrough in order to see all the content available in the game.
Shadows of New York is set in the same universe as Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The release of the vampire action RPG Hardsuit Labs was recently pushed back to 2021 .
