And in 2025 a Russian electric car will be released
The commercial director of Moskvich, Alexander Migal, in an interview with TASS, answered the question of how customers evaluate the quality of the cars and whether there are any complaints: “I know that in the mass consciousness today there is an idea that the entire activity of the plant consists of “screwing the wheels to the machine kit.” “
The reality is completely different: already there is a huge difference between the incoming quality of the assembled components that we receive and the final quality of the finished car that our client sees at the dealership. We follow the first feedback from our clients to quickly address all issues, and we directly include some of the client’s requirements in the plant’s quality standards.
There is a huge difference in quality between vehicle kits and ready-made Moskvich vehicles.
He also spoke about the launch of the full assembly cycle at the plant: “We are now actively preparing for the start of small-unit assembly and have passed another important stage – we have welded the first test body. The next stage is tests in the paint shop. These two important milestones smoothly lead us to the launch of small-unit assembly, or, as it is also called, full-cycle assembly, which according to our plan should start in 2024. If we describe it in broad strokes, then this is the selection of suppliers, the preparation and adjustment of equipment, and the conduct of tests.”
In 2025, the plant plans to introduce an electric car, the design of which will include the main components – electric motor, traction battery, and other elements – that will be entirely Russian.
In the same interview, he stated that Moskvich may reduce the prices of its cars in the future.
