Such CPUs will be released in a year

Intel has lifted the veil of secrecy over its Sierra Forest Xeon processors, which were previously rumored to have 344 or even 528 cores in the maximum configuration.

However, Intel’s official data tells us that there will be many fewer cores. Top models will get 144 cores, and you need to remember that we are talking only about small cores. Yes, this is still a lot, and the same AMD Epyc Bergamo will have 128 cores, but still 144 is not 344, not to mention 528.

There will be no 528 cores in the new Intel processors.

Sierra Forest will be out in the first half of next year, which is about a year from now. Epyc Bergamo should be out in the coming months. The new Intel CPUs will be produced according to the Intel 3 process technology. They will receive the LGA 7529 performance.

Approximately at the same time as Sierra Forest, the server Xeon of the Granite Rapids line will be released. They should only receive large kernels, but their number will be less.
