OnePlus Open will look different than previously thought
Renders of the OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable smartphone, have been posted online.
This is the second “portion” of such images, and there is an explanation for this: it turned out that in the process of finalizing the smartphone, significant changes were made to its design. The picture below clearly demonstrates the nature of these changes.
The Hasselblad’s camera block has become much larger, and the flash has also increased. The aspect ratio of the outer screen has changed, finally, the side frame is made flat in a modern manner. It is reported that the camera unit protrudes from the body more, and this may indicate the use of new sensors.
The position of the front camera of the internal screen has also changed: it has moved from the left corner to the right.
This will be the latest OnePlus Open, it will challenge the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5.
Other design features include the presence of a proprietary switch Alert slider and a back panel with a texture that mimics the skin.
According to preliminary data, the diagonal of the OenPlus Open outdoor screen will be 6.3 inches, while the inner screen will be 7.8 inches. Both – with a frame rate of 120 Hz. The hardware platform will be based on the SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the amount of RAM and flash memory is 16 and 256 GB, respectively.
The main camera will have two 48-megapixel sensors and one 64-megapixel sensor. The battery capacity will be 4800 mAh, it will support 67 W charging.
It was reported that the premiere of OnePlus Open will take place on August 29, but then there was information about the postponement of the event. Now the premiere is expected in early September.
