“By sticking a Tinkoff Pay sticker on a smartphone or case, customers can return to their usual contactless payment method”

Tinkoff has released a “smart sticker”, or, as it is called in the bank itself, the Tinkoff Pay payment sticker. It is several times smaller than a bank card, which it replaces in terms of functions for contactless payments.

By sticking a Tinkoff Pay sticker on a smartphone or case, customers can return to their usual contactless payment method. This is especially true for iPhone users, since at the moment there are no analogues of blocked Apple Pay in the Russian Federation.

You can use Tinkoff Pay at the cash desks in shops, cafes and other establishments. You can also withdraw money from ATMs that support contactless authorization. Tinkoff Pay allows you to set a PIN code, spending limit and other restrictions. In addition, the sticker can be blocked in case of loss.

The Tinkoff Pay sticker with the Mir payment system is available for Tinkoff Black debit cards. The sticker is linked to the account, and its settings can be controlled from the application. Now the sticker is being tested by bank employees, and in January it will be available to everyone.

For customers with the Tinkoff Premium or Private tariff, stickers will be free, the rest will be able to buy Tinkoff Pay for 700 rubles. At the initial stage, they will be only black, but then the range of colors will be expanded.

Tinkoff claims that this is the first payment sticker on the market for paying by phone, but back in 2013, Avangard Bank released a similar solution .
