Kingston has launched the XS1000 Mobile Solid State Drive, the ultimate compact file backup solution that weighs less than 29g.
The Kingston XS1000 reportedly offers a maximum read speed of 1050MB/s and a storage capacity of 1TB or 2TB. The package includes a cable with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and USB-A connectors. Kingston said the new drive is “half the size of a standard SSD” and comes with a five-year warranty and free technical support.

It can work normally in temperatures ranging from 0 to 40°C. The device is compatible with Windows 11/10, macOS (v.10.15.x+), Linux (v.4.4.x+), Chrome OS, Android, and iOS/ iPad OS (v.13+).
Prices are $69 and $115 depending on volume.
