Tom Clancy’s the Division 2 will feature a new mode for the series this year

Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have shared content plans for  Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 in 2021. They include releasing a new model, which the developers said will be different from anything that players have seen in the series to date. Since Ubisoft has only recently decided to continue developing new content for the game, the release frequency will be slightly different.

The company did not reveal what the new model is but said it is also working on freshening up player character builds. How exactly this will look is still unknown.

The soon-to-be-released Season 5 content will actually be the return of Season 1, allowing those who have not received certain rewards to catch up. This decision was made to keep users occupied while the development team (which now, in addition to Massive Entertainment, also includes Ubisoft Bucharest) is working on updates.

As part of the statement, Ubisoft also shared statistics on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Of the most interesting: in two parts of the series, 40 million players were attracted; one agent revived over 27,000 agents; 156 billion headshots were fired; one agent managed to climb more than 36 thousand floors in the “Summit” mode.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 had a slow start, which didn’t live up to Ubisoft’s expectations. Apparently, the company’s decision to continue supporting Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is due to the project’s increased popularity. However, Massive Entertainment is also known to be working on an open-world Star Wars game and a project based on Avatar.
