Toshiba has announced the release of a new series of MG10F hard drives. They come in the standard 3.5-inch format, but use the company’s proprietary 10-plate gel-sealed internal design.
These hard drives use the traditional CMR magnetic recording method and offer a maximum capacity of 22 TB, which is 10% more than the previous 20 TB models.

Toshiba says the 22TB MG10F hard drive is designed to meet the growing storage needs of large enterprises. According to reports, the HDD can be used for a variety of applications and workloads, suitable for both cloud applications and traditional data center applications.
The MG10F series hard drives have a rotation speed of 7200 rpm, a rated workload of 550 TB per year, and are available in SAS-12G and SATA6G interface options.
