Unlike four other models, the Hyundai Sonata has hardly risen in price
The resource 110km.ru, based on an analysis of its database of advertisements for the sale of used cars, told how prices for popular three-year-old business sedans have changed over the years in Russia. It turned out that four out of five models have risen significantly in price.
The largest increase of 26% was received by the Russian hit in the form of the Toyota Camry: if a year ago a three-year-old sedan could be bought for an average of 2.7 million rubles, now the price has soared to 3.4 million rubles. And the new Camry is even more expensive – the price is already under 5 million rubles.
Kia K5 (this is the successor to Optima) in October 2022 could be bought for an average of 2.5 million rubles, now the average price is 2.8 million rubles. This is strange, but the no less popular Hyundai Sonata has risen in price even less: if in October last year, the car was sold on average for 2.5 million rubles, now it is sold for 2.6 million rubles.
Toyota Camry – plus 700 thousand rubles, Mazda6 – plus half a million.
It’s different with the Mazda6: a business sedan of the Japanese brand, produced in Russia, could be bought last fall for 2.5 million rubles, now the price is already 3 million rubles. The new Mazda6, by the way, costs about 4.4 million rubles.
The Skoda Superb closes the list. It is not a sedan, but a liftback, but the tricky rear door of the first generation car cemented the Superb as a sedan in the minds of many. Here the situation is the same as with Mazda: last year you could buy it for an average of 2.8 million rubles, the average price now is 3.34 million rubles. And the price of a new car is about 4.4 million rubles.
In general, those sellers who said that it is better not to postpone the purchase were right – it will only be more expensive. However, now they say the same thing.
