Lexus TX will be larger than Hyundai Palisade and Honda Pilot
Lexus has published the first teaser of a large promising crossover Lexus TX – it will take a position between the Lexus RX with a monocoque body and the frame Lexus LX. The image shows a key element indicating the large size of the novelty (the length will be 5.1 m): in the luggage compartment there are large windows for third-row passengers. And the trunk itself, obviously, will be large.
Toyota Grand Highlander will be turned into a 7-seater Lexus TX.
Lexus TX will be built on the TNGA-K platform of the stretched Toyota Highlander – Grand Highlander. Lexus cars, of course, will have a different design for both the front and rear. And there will be better equipment, better interior trim materials and other power units.
It is assumed that the base Lexus TX 350 will receive a 2.4-liter turbo engine and an 8-speed automatic, while the top-end TX 500 h will have a hybrid power plant with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, a pair of electric motors and a proprietary eCVT variator. The drive in all versions will be complete. Lexus TX is aimed primarily at the US market, the premiere is expected in the summer.
