Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has achieved cumulative global production of 300 million vehicles, including production figures through September 2023.

The achievement comes 88 years and two months after the very first Toyota vehicles, the G1 model trucks, were produced by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd., an automobile manufacturing division, in August 1935. (later Toyota Industries Corporation).

Additionally, it was announced that 180.52 million vehicles were produced domestically and 119.6 million overseas as of the end of September 2023.

The model with the highest total production volume is the Corolla, with a total of 53.399 million units of this model produced as of the end of September 2023).

Company Chairman Akio Toyoda said: “I think this number of 300 million vehicles is proof of the hard work every day by our colleagues at Toyota, our suppliers and dealers, and all the many other stakeholders. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.”
