An alternative to a purely gasoline engine will be a hybrid power plant.
The Japanese resource BestCarWeb shared details about the future Mini Land Cruiser. According to new data, the car could debut as early as January 2024 at the Tokyo Motor Show. BestCarWeb is 99% sure that the new model will be called Land Cruiser FJ .
Externally, the Land Cruiser FJ will be very similar to the latest Land Cruiser Prado 250, but adjusted for smaller dimensions. The length of the Land Cruiser FJ will be approximately 4350 mm, width – 1850 mm. In terms of dimensions, the new product will be similar to the Corolla Cross (4490 and 1825 mm, respectively), but the height will be much greater – 1860 mm versus 1620 mm for the Corolla Cross.
Toyota Land Cruiser FJ may be presented as early as January 2024.
There are already some details about the power units. According to reliable sources, the Land Cruiser FJ will receive both a purely gasoline internal combustion engine and a hybrid power plant. There are many candidates for the role of the first: a 1.8-liter from the Corolla Cross, a 2-liter from the RAV4, or even a 1.5-liter turbo engine. As for the hybrid power plant, it could be a unit based on a 2.4-liter engine, borrowed from the Land Cruiser Prado 250.
As for the price of the Land Cruiser FJ, according to BestCarWeb, it will be around 25 thousand dollars.
