Tropico 5 is a city-building simulator from Haemimont Games and Kalypso Media. In the game, users are reincarnated as El Presidente, the permanent leader and charismatic dictator who rules the island of Tropico. The main task in the project is to develop their own state and to carry it through several historical periods. The path begins with the colonial era and ends with modernity.

During the passage of Tropico 5, users will trade with neighbours, research a variety of technologies, distribute positions to members of their family, explore the surrounding territories, find the ruins of ancient civilizations, and so on. In addition, Tropico 5 introduces a competitive multiplayer mode for up to four people for the first time in the series.

The Steam version of Tropico 5 received 8,553 reviews, 78% of which were positive.
