TSMC holds 51.9% of global semiconductor contract manufacturing

Semiconductor manufacturing contractor Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company or TSMC has become the largest representative of the semiconductor industry. This happened when TSMC’s stock peaked at $ 66.40 per share, bringing the company’s market capitalization to $ 313 billion. This is more than the market cap of Intel, Nvidia, and Samsung. And this is quite predictable, given the high demand for the production of semiconductor products under contracts and the success of TSMC in the development of advanced technological processes.

TSMC becomes the largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world

According to TrendForce analysts, TSMC holds 51.9% of the global contract manufacturing of semiconductor products. Having caught the tendency to separate the development and production of microcircuits, over the years investing considerable funds in research and development, and in expanding production, TSMC was able not only to ensure its competitiveness but also to become an industry leader. In the fourth quarter of this year, TSMC plans to begin large-scale production at 5nm standards, while developing a technical process designed for more delicate standards.
