Two men stole 436 iPhones by tricking Apple Store security

Last weekend in Seattle, USA, the Apple Store in Alderwood Mall was robbed, and the thieves got creative with the robbery.

According to the Seattle edition of King 5 News, they got to the store through a cafe located nearby. The two men first broke into the Seattle Coffee Gear, then went to the restroom and cut a hole in the wall to get into the back room of the Apple Store.

The thieves managed to bypass the Apple Store’s security system and steal a total of 436 iPhones worth about $500,000. The robbery happened at night, so there were no employees in the store.

According to the manager of Seattle Coffee Gear Eric Marks, he did not even suspect that from the premises of the cafe you can get to the Apple Store. Nothing was stolen from the coffee shop, but changing the locks and repairing the wall will cost $1,500.

The police were able to obtain the video, but since it is an investigation material, it has not yet been released.
