Ubisoft changed its mind: the Division 2 will receive new content this year

The 12th update, which was released in December 2020 and kicked off the fourth season of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, was supposed to be the last major expansion of the co-op action movie. But Ubisoft changed her mind. The developers were encouraged to make such a decision by the community’s activity, who did not want to say goodbye to The Division 2.

“We’re thrilled to confirm that additional content will be released for The Division 2 this year! Your constant passion and support allow us to develop the environment for Division 2, and we couldn’t help but thank you for that. Some may have noticed that the 12th update was originally conceived as the last major update, The Division 2. Still, thanks to your continued support, we now are in the early stages of the development of new content, which will be released in 2021, “– wrote the developers in his blog.

However, so far, there is no description of the upcoming content: Ubisoft only promised that it would not make the details wait long and again thanked the players for their constant attention and interest in the game throughout the entire period after the launch.

By the way, let’s remind: the game recently received an update for the new generation consoles. And while it brought 60fps support on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S, the latest Sony console saw a degradation in picture quality. In a recent message to players, The Division 2 developers wrote: “We give the highest priority to investigating the causes of crashes affecting many of you, and we are also close to finding a fix for the Screen Space Reflections error on PlayStation 5. We’ll let you know when the release date for both holes is clear
