Ubisoft Video Story of Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox Series X

Running Watch Dogs: Legion has already taken place, but the version for Xbox Series X will be available only on November 10, together with the launch of the console. The developers have released a special video dedicated to the advantages of this version of the game over the version for Xbox One.

The aim of the development was to show the London of the near future and allow players to fully immerse themselves in it. Xbox Series X delivers 4K gameplay at a steady 30fps, combined with ray-traced reflections.

London in the game is a bustling metropolis with self-propelled cars, drones, and holograms: all this makes the city of the near future colorful. The environment will be recognizable to the existing capital of Britain, but it has changed thanks to the spread of technology. Such a unique environment, according to Ubisoft, is ideal for showcasing the power of real-time ray-traced reflections.

In turn, the Direct Storage interface fundamentally reduces the time of all downloads in the game. It also makes it more seamless to move around the city using vehicles like boats or cars: all textures and objects are loaded on time, even at high speeds.

In general, all objects and resources of the game will become more authentic and will be displayed in a significantly higher resolution: these are textures, and cube maps, and shadows, and rendering technologies. The game also supports frame sync on Xbox Series X with refresh rate (on compatible displays).

Finally, the game supports Smart Delivery: those who buy the Xbox One version will be able to get Watch Dogs: Legion for free on the next-generation console after purchasing the Xbox Series X.
