UK charts: Miles Morales started better than other PS5 games, but it didn’t help out ahead of new Call of Duty

The Games Industry portal shared information on the sales of retail editions of games in the UK during the period from 15 to 21 November. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War took the top in the ranking.

The new Call of Duty lost only 27% to its result a week earlier, which is quite small for an AAA release. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, for example, saw a 70 percent drop in sales and dropped from number one to four.

In second place in the chart is FIFA 21 – one of many games (including Watch Dogs: Legion ) that improved their performance thanks to the start of the sales season.

The third position was held by Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – superhero action game Insomniac Games showed the best launch (the sum of the results for this and the previous week) among the PS5 starter games in the UK retail.

Despite this, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales did not come close to selling the original Marvel’s Spider-Man: in the first two weeks, the difference was almost 57% in favor of the 2018 action movie.

As for the new releases themselves, the Fortnite: The Last Laugh bundle started from fifth place, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity from sixth, and the Ultimate edition of Mortal Kombat 11 from 30th.

The top 10 UK retail charts for November 15-21 are as follows (last week’s result is shown in parentheses):

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (2);
  2. FIFA 21 (4);
  3. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (3);
