Umbrella Link, Locations, and Four Elements: Fans Begin to Decrypt Resident Evil Village Map

At a recent presentation, Resident Evil Village demonstrated, among other things, the content of the collector’s edition, which, in addition to everything else, includes a map of the game world. Enthusiasts immediately began to examine and solve it.

A Reddit user under the pseudonym Strider-22, for example, isolated a frame with a map from the broadcast and enlarged it, trying to keep the image as clear as possible.

The result of Strider-22’s work is far from ideal (see the photo attached below), but even in this form, the screenshot allows you to make out the names and icons of some of the locations to be visited in the Resident Evil Village.

Along the edges of the map are the family estates of the four main families of the village where Resident Evil Village takes place: Dimitrescu Castle, Benevento Mansion, Heisenberg Factory, and Moro Reservoir.

As an insider and a big fan of the AestheticGamer series notes in his microblog, each genus has its own elements: earth (flowers) at Dumitrescu, air at Benevento, electricity at the Heisenbergs, and water at Moreau.

In addition, on the right side of the map, the coats of arms of the families form a semblance of the Umbrella logo with support in the center – AestheticGamer suggests that these dynasties existed before the founding of the corporation, but are clearly associated with it.

The premiere of Resident Evil Village is expected on May 7 this year on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Pre-orders have already started – prices for the version for the Valve digital store start at $26.47.
