Unique smartphone LG Wing with a swivel design and two screens showed in the video
Resource Android Authority has published a 10-second video (see below), which captures a very unusual smartphone in action – the LG Wing device, the official presentation of which is expected this year.
The main feature of the device will be an additional display with an aspect ratio of 1: 1, hidden behind a rotating main screen. This design will allow for completely new use cases.
When opened, the smartphone has a T-shaped form factor. At the same time, you can use the device in different ways – in landscape and portrait orientation of the main display.
For example, the video shows that windows of different applications can be displayed on two screens: it can be, say, a navigator on the main display and a media player or dialer on the secondary one.
Thanks to the unusual form factor, owners will receive improved multitasking features. Thus, users will be able to simultaneously view multimedia materials in full-screen format and conduct correspondence in the messenger or scroll through e-mail.
According to the available information, the diagonal of the main swivel screen will be 6.8 inches, the secondary one – 4 inches. The equipment will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a multi-module camera with a 64-megapixel sensor. A prototype of the device can be shown in early September at the upcoming IFA 2020 exhibition.
