And she can get Airbus much earlier
Sergey Skuratov, General Director of Ural Airlines, shared his plans to expand the fleet. The company expects to receive both domestic and foreign aircraft.
“ Obviously, there are such plans [to acquire Russian aircraft] . We made an application for 38 MS-21. In terms of time – somewhere in 2029-2030. We wanted to lease [purchase],” said Sergey Skuratov.
Ural Airlines will buy 38 MS-21 aircraft and buy 19 Airbus aircraft abroad
“ There are [plans to buy out Airbus]. This deal is currently under consideration. The United States allowed us to buy 19 aircraft and the European Union. [We plan to request funds from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation], these will be some kind of credit resources of the Russian Federation for many years ,” he added.
Currently, Ural Airlines’ fleet is represented by 52 Airbus aircraft, including Airbus A321, Airbus A320, Airbus A319, Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo.
