Video: blogger showed the difference between Mass Effect Legendary Edition and the original trilogy

Blogger Cycu1 posted on his YouTube channel a video comparing various scenes from the first three parts of Mass Effect and the debut trailer for Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

Recall that in the collection of remasters of the Mass Effect trilogy, among other things, they promise noticeable improvements in graphics (resolution, models, textures, shaders, lighting, depth of field, etc.) compared to the original releases.

The Cycu1 video, which lasts eight and a half minutes, confirms and underlines these and other visual enhancements: the difference between the versions is visible at a glance.

The image has become noticeably clearer, added visual effects and detail. The latter especially concerns the characters and their clothes (elaboration of skin textures, materials).

In addition to visual improvements, the collection will also offer gameplay: in the case of the first Mass Effect, the authors have modernized the combat system, improved camera behavior and control (squad and “Mako”).

In addition to the main games, the Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes over 40 downloadable content for them. An unfortunate exception was the Pinnacle Station add-on for the original Mass Effect.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will go on sale May 14 this year for PC (Steam, Origin), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For new generation consoles, the collection was not advanced enough.
