Video: Dieselpunk Cyborg Rabbit Platformer FIST Coming in Spring
Independent Chinese studio TikGames and publishing house bilibili continue to prepare for the launch of their Metroidvania platformer FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch. For The Game Awards 2020, the dieselpunk game has got a new vigorous trailer, a version for PS5, and an approximate release date – spring 2021.
Previously, the project was announced for the PlayStation 4 and PC ( Steam ), and the launch date was not named. In addition to cutting the gameplay with an emphasis on combat, the new video shows viewers fragments of story clips and shows two minor allied characters: some anthropomorphic cats and a bull.
Let’s remind: according to the plot of FIST, the world inhabited by intelligent animals is under the threat of capture by creatures resembling machines. War is on the doorstep and threatens to engulf the entire planet – at this moment, the lone hero Rayton appears. He is a seasoned rabbit warrior who has spent the last six years in hiding when the city of Torch was at the mercy of robots. Once the Legion of Machines kidnapped his friend, and now this laconic, but resolute fighter will get out of hiding to go on a difficult rescue mission …
Much of the game will revolve around world exploration and collecting. All areas are significantly different from each other, but at the same time remain part of a common mosaic. As the adventure progresses, the design of the background and levels smoothly changes with subtle and subtle tricks, making everything seem natural. The lack of loading screens between locations is intended to make the dieselpunk city more compelling. A lot of secrets and secret places are promised that will not be easy to find.
The combat system is based on the use of three types of Rayton’s weapons: a mechanized fist, a drill, and a whip. Each weapon has its own characteristics and combinations. In a dangerous city, dozens of types of opponents, on which you can test your combat skills: ordinary soldiers, elite warriors, and powerful bosses. FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch is powered by the Unreal Engine 4.
