Video: enemies of all stripes and their abilities in the fresh trailer Returnal
The developers from the Housemarque team, with the support of Sony Interactive Entertainment, have published a fresh trailer for their roguelike shooter Returnal. The video is dedicated to the enemies who will meet on the territory of the dangerous planet Atropos. The viewers were shown in detail the design of individual opponents, and their abilities were shown.
In total, the trailer showed six enemies with their unique skills. The first one is shaped like a man with a body made of wood. He is thrown by acid shells and can quickly move to another place, leaving behind a silhouette of black branches. The second enemy looks like an animal with many tails. His main weapon is powerful hands for close-range attacks. The third enemy is an ancient robot specializing in laser shooting.
The fourth enemy is a turtle with a long tail, from which it shoots energy. The fifth enemy is a giant with wings, whose attacks are based on the launch of many green projectiles, and the sixth is the player’s corpse, which arose as a result of one of the unfinished cycles.
Recall that Returnal will be released on April 30, 2021, exclusively on PlayStation 5. The game tells the story of a woman named Selena, who crashed on the planet Atropos and fell into a time loop. The heroine must explore a procedurally generated world in an attempt to get out of the trap.
