Video: Enthusiast Shows How To Play Horizon Zero Dawn From A First Person View
The position of the camera significantly affects the perception of the game. This is proved by the videos of enthusiasts who change the view from the third person to the first person view or vice versa. Recently, such a trick was done with God of War 2018, and now with Horizon Zero Dawn. YouTube contributor Speclizer demonstrated how Guerrilla Games’ latest project plays with Aloy’s eye view included.
In his video, the enthusiast at first just walks around the world of Horizon Zero Dawn. From the first person it is perceived even a little better – it seems even more beautiful and rich. But with the combat system, everything is not as smooth as with regular travel. When Aloy strikes at the enemy, the swings of the weapon are almost invisible, and some attacks even remain off-screen, which does not reflect well on the sensations. However, it was not worth expecting another effect from the usual hacking of the camera. To adjust the project to the first-person view, you need to change the animations and the position of the weapon in the hands, and this is a much more difficult job.
