The two-minute video does not contain any gameplay footage. Instead, the developers lead viewers to a mission on a Dubai skyscraper – apparently the first mission in the game.

Recall that Agent 47 in Hitman 3 enlists the support of his friend Lucas Gray (aka the Shadow client). Together, the heroes seek to eliminate the so-called partners of the mysterious organization “Providence”.

The developers themselves from IO Interactive regard Hitman 3 as the final stage of the Agent 47 adventure. The upcoming game promises to be the darkest and most serious in the newest trilogy.

At the same time, the story in Hitman 3 will be presented not only within the framework of traditional cutscenes on the engine: the project will also have a narration through the environment directly during the execution of tasks.

Hitman 3 will go on sale on January 20, 2021, for PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Google Stadia. The project will also appear on Nintendo Switch, but only in streaming.

Besides Hitman 3, IO Interactive has its own James Bond game. Project 007 (working title) has no release date or target platform list yet.
