Video: Japanese tennis player played in Resident Evil Village on PS5

A video has appeared on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, in which Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka tries herself in two games for the PlayStation 5, including Resident Evil Village.

An excerpt with gameplay footage of the upcoming Capcom horror begins at 1 minute 46 seconds and continues until the very end of the three-minute PlayStation video.

In total, the video offers a little more than 30 seconds of Resident Evil Village gameplay for review. For such modest timing, Osaka only manages to wander around the village, see a couple of enemies and stumble upon a plot scene.

As expected, the Resident Evil Village features DualSense tactile feedback. According to Osaka, the PlayStation 5 controller conveys the sensation of different surfaces, including the moment of sliding down the slope.

Osaka admitted that instead of horror, she prefers network shooters like Apex Legends and Fortnite, and she is familiar with Resident Evil from over her shoulder – the tennis player herself has not played the games of the series.

In addition to Resident Evil Village, Osaka had a chance to play the PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This segment, however, is not of interest – the episodes overcome by the athlete have been demonstrated earlier.

Resident Evil Village is expected to release in 2021 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S. According to a recent leak, the Sony console version will offer dynamic 4K, fast downloads, and support for ray tracing technology.
