Video: Story Perspectives and Abandoned Spaceships in the New Sable Desert Adventure Trailer

Raw Fury and developer Shed works showcased a new piece of Sable gameplay at the Future Games Show in August.

Sable Desert

The almost two-minute video shows the inhabited and not very explorable areas in Sable territory, the interaction of the main character Sable with local residents, and long journeys on a hoverbike.

She works co-founder Gregorios Kythreoti’s comments on what is happening on the screen. In particular, the developer talked about what the game is about and what will be done in it.

According to Kitreotis, Sable is a girl from a family of nomads living in the great desert. The plot will offer users to help the heroine determine her place in the world: return to the lifestyle of relatives or choose a different path.

In terms of gameplay, Sable is an open-world adventure: the player will be able to explore the world at their own pace, modify and improve the hoverbike, explore ancient ruins and rusted spaceships, and help other inhabitants of the desert.

Sable’s visual style is inspired by the Ligne claire painting technique popularized by Belgian artist Georges Prosper Remi, better known by his pseudonym Herge.

After the recent postponement, the release of Sable is expected in 2021 on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X. The game is declared as a “console exclusive at launch”, which means that over time it will probably appear on other platforms.
