Video: the storming of Rome by the Gauls in the gameplay demonstration of Total War: Rome Remastered
Creative Assembly and Feral Interactive studios, together with SEGA, have presented new gameplay for Total War: Rome Remastered – a re-release of the famous strategy announced at the end of March. Fresh footage showcasing Gauls, real-time battles, and the storming of Rome.
First, the video tells about the features of the displayed faction. Then the viewers are shown the Gallic units in an updated form and development on the global map. The challenge for the Gauls in the video is to capture Rome in thirty moves. To do this, they pay attention to basic urban development and the collection of resources to benefit from trade. And then, the faction forms an army and goes to war with its main enemy.
Towards the end of the video, the storming of Rome is shown. The Gauls used siege towers and battering rams during the attack. The latter was set on fire by the archers of the defending side, but the troops still managed to climb the city walls and then engage in battle on its territory. Inside, they clashed with squads of elite Praetorians. And the video ends with the fact that the screen shows the central square of Rome, which must be captured to win, and a large-scale clash of troops.
Recall: Total War: Rome Remastered will be released on April 29, 2021, on PC. The remaster will offer access to 16 additional factions, optimizations for 4K and ultra-wide monitors, graphical improvements, and other innovations.
