Video: the world is reborn in a new trailer for the western version of the remaster Shin Megami Tensei III
In its microblog, the Japanese publishing house Atlus announced the release of a new official trailer for the international version of the upcoming remasters of the role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.
The video, entitled “The World’s Rebirth,” lasts a little over a minute and demonstrates the plot of the Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster (as the re-release is called).
Recall that as a result of the actions of the mysterious cult of Tokyo according to the game’s plot, it turns out to be the epicenter of an apocalyptic event called Conception, which turns the city into an arena of demonic revolution.
Players in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster will play the role of an ordinary Japanese schoolboy who, due to circumstances, becomes a half-demon and can determine the fate of the whole world.
The release of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster outside of Japan is expected on May 25 this year on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders have already started on all target platforms.
The remaster is sold in two editions – standard and extended. The latter includes Early Access (from May 21st) and a set of add-ons, including the Maniax Pack with Dante from Devil May Cry and the Compassionate difficulty level.
In the Land of the Rising Sun, the remaster debuted back in October 2020. The Western release includes all the improvements and fixes released for the Japanese version, which suffered from several technical issues of varying severity at launch.
