Video: werewolves battles, puzzles and a mysterious old woman in the first half of the RE Village demo
The Resident Evil Village demo will be released on May 2, but PS4 and PS5 users got access to it earlier in two half-hour sessions. The first of them have already ended, but the journalists of the IGN portal managed to record the passage of half of the trial version. The video from the publication shows battles with werewolves, exploring sinister locations in the village, collecting items, and solving puzzles.
The video begins when the main character Ethan Winters is talking to a mysterious older woman. The conversation mentions the protagonist’s daughter and mother, Miranda (Lady Dimitrescu spoke to her on the phone in one of the trailers ). Further in the video, a study of the village is shown, where the events of the game unfold: Ethan wanders around the neighborhood, goes into houses, and collects various items. Some of them are used to solve puzzles; for example, the main character needs to find a tool to fix a winch on a well.
The passage also contains fragments with battles – the protagonist will face werewolves who will hide in dense vegetation from pistol shots.
The demo also contains plot fragments. For example, the player will meet the villagers and participate in some ritual. He will also meet a girl taking care of her father. At the end of the video, it is shown that an unenviable fate awaits her.
Resident Evil Village will launch on May 7, 2021, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S, and Google Stadia.
