The first stage of the closed alpha of Diablo II: Resurrected really starts this week – testing will take place only on PC

On its official website, Blizzard Entertainment announced the timing and details of the first stage of technical alpha testing of the upcoming action RPG Diablo II: Resurrected.

As it became known, this phase of testing will begin on April 9 at 17:00 Moscow time and will end on April 12 at 20:00 Moscow time. Alpha access will be granted to a limited number of players who have registered in advance on the Diablo II: Resurrected website.

During this phase, the developers will test the single mode. Users will have access to the first two acts and three character classes (Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress).

As part of the challenge, players will not transfer progress to the next test or final version of Diablo II: Resurrected or import a save file from the original Diablo II (this feature will appear on release ).

The developers have also warned that the build of Diablo II: Resurrected for the “alpha” will use the original cutscenes and not be updated – this is a temporary measure.

The first phase of Diablo II: Resurrected alpha testing will take place only on PC, and the next one will affect consoles: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch.

Diablo II’s release: Resurrected is expected this year – more accurate information Blizzard Entertainment is currently not ready to provide. The previously announced system requirements for the game are also relevant for the “alpha.”
