Viking army grows: Valheim has sold over 5 million copies in four weeks since release

Iron Gate Studios and Coffee Stain Publishing have shared some good news related to the survival simulator Valheim. According to the developers, the game has sold more than 5 million copies in four weeks since its release on Steam Early Access. Besides, the creators have published other interesting statistics.

Iron Gate’s official statement at Valve’s site reads: “You’ve done it again! As you read this [post], the Valkyries have already transported over five million souls to Valheim to seek ancient treasures, sail the seas and keep the tenth Scandinavian world safe

In total, users have spent over 15,000 years in Valheim and watched 35 million hours of live streaming on Twitch’s popular survival simulator.

Currently, the Iron Gate project is in the 39th position in the list of the most highly rated Steam games by users for the entire period of the service’s existence. The developers have promised to continue supporting Valheim and will soon publish a roadmap for 2021. At the moment, only a part of the planned improvements is known.
