The ship and crew were not harmed

Another test of the Virgin Galactic spacecraft took place yesterday. Unfortunately, it didn’t go according to plan. The SpaceShipTwo device was raised on the carrier aircraft to the calculated altitude, but could not continue the flight on its own – according to the company, the ignition of the rocket engine did not work. As a result, the carrier aircraft returned the ship to Earth. The apparatus and crew are said to be “in excellent shape.”

Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo test failed

This flight was to open the final testing phase before the commercial operation. There are three flights in total at this stage. The test was also to be SpaceShipTwo’s first manned space flight from America’s launch site in New Mexico.

The reason for the refusal is still unknown. Since Virgin Galactic has spare engines, the company has promised it will try again soon.
