Vivo iQOO 7 lights up on Geekbench with Snapdragon 888 processor and 12 GB of RAM

Vivo iQOO 7 lights up on Geekbench with Snapdragon 888 processor and 12 GB of RAM

Vivo is gearing up to launch the new flagship smartphone iQOO 7 in China on January 11. According to greying leaks, the model number of the device is V2049A. This week, the device was spotted in AnTuTu benchmarks with an amazing 752,935. Now the iQOO 7 variant with 12GB of RAM has appeared in the Geekbench benchmarking database.

The Geekbench 5 entry shows the Snapdragon 888 SoC iQOO 7 scoring 1125 and 3637 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The results are in line with other Snapdragon 888-powered devices tested in Geekbench, such as the Galaxy S21, Xiaomi Mi 11, ASUS ROG Phone 4 and Vivo X60 Pro +.

According to rumours, the iQOO 7 will be equipped with a 6.56-inch AMOLED screen with perforation for a front-facing 16-megapixel camera at the top centre. The display will feature features such as FHD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and a sub-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Snapdragon 888 mobile platform (one Cortex-X1, three Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55s, plus 660 graphics and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem) is complemented by LPDDR5 RAM and fast UFS 3.1 storage. The device will ship with Android 11 pre-installed and will offer support for 120W high-speed charging. However, the exact charging capacity of the battery is still unknown. The back of the phone has a triple camera setup. It is expected that the main will be a 48-megapixel wide-angle module with support for OIS stabilization. Finally, the company will also be selling a special version of the smartphone in BMW style.
