Vivo X100 is a new record holder in AnTuTu
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 single-chip system turned out to be truly powerful, but… not powerful enough to compete with the latest Dimensity 9300. This is easy to understand from the example of the Vivo X100 test in AnTuTu.
As you can see in the picture above, the Vivo X100 has earned almost 2.25 million points, a level that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is unlikely to reach. For example, the Xiaomi 14 Pro scored 2.092 million points in the same test (picture below). For top models, a difference of 150 thousand points is a lot. Of course, there will probably be more powerful smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for example, gaming Asus ROG Phone or Nubia), but they are unlikely to be able to reach the level of Vivo X100 and Dimensity 9300. And the point here is the difference in approaches to CPU architecture.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has only one Arm Cortex-X4 super core, while the Dimensity 9300 has four such cores (though only one of them operates at a high frequency of more than 3.25 GHz, the rest are lower). At the same time, the Dimensity 9300 does not have energy-efficient cores at all, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has two of them.
But if everything is clear regarding the processor, then what about the GPU, since the Adreno graphics processor has always (or almost always) been more powerful than Mali graphics? It turns out that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is inferior here too! For graphics, it received 884 thousand points versus 918 thousand points for Dimenisty 9300.
