Vivo’s next flagship iQOO will receive a Snapdragon 888 chip and 120-watt charging

Internet sources have published the first information about the flagship smartphone, which the Chinese company Vivo will release under the iQOO brand. It is expected that the new product will replace the iQOO 5 Pro model, which debuted in August this year.

Recall that the iQOO 5 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, a 6.56-inch Full HD + display, a triple camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor, and a 4000 mAh battery with support for an ultra-fast 120-watt recharge.

The upcoming smartphone, most likely, will enter the iQOO 6 families. Its “heart” will be the latest Snapdragon 888 processor, containing a powerful Cortex-X1 core with a frequency of up to 2.84 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. The chip includes an Adreno 660 accelerator and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem.

The battery capacity will increase in comparison with its predecessor and will range from 4100 to 4500 mAh. At the same time, support for 120W recharging will remain.

The novelty is credited with the presence of a flat frameless display, a 16-megapixel front camera, a rear multi-module camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, 12 GB of RAM, and a flash module with a capacity of 256 GB.

The presentation will take place in the first half of next year. The smartphone will ship with Origin OS based on Android 11.
